ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION/SERVICES

Economic Development is a division of SMOC that comes under the Housing Corporation.  It has as its mission

  • Provide individuals access to resources that enable them to become financially self-sufficient and economically independent
  • Establish a bridge linking SMOC’s traditional services with a continuum of skills enhancement and career opportunities

Within SMOC's Economic Development is housed 13 programs targeted at adults that break down into any one of three areas: employment, skills training and education.  These programs include:
