Housing for Individuals

MetroWest Region

The Common Ground Resource Center (CGRC) serves as the point of entry to all of SMOC's emergency, transitional and supportive housing for single adults in the MetroWest area. CGRC is staffed by an inter-disciplinary team that evaluates all referrals to make the most appopriate placements and coordinates all housing, case management and services for participants in SMOC's continuum of housing and services. CGRC operates with the goals of homeless prevention, diversion, reduction of shelter stays and stabilization and maximized self-sufficiency.

Central MA Region

The Greater Worcester Housing Connection provides comprehensive housing and preventive and supportive services to individuals, including those who are homeless or are at risk for homelessness, those who are seeking emergency housing, those who are seeking affordable housing and others.

Western MA Region

The Open Door Social Services Program, part of Open Pantry Community Services (OPCS) provides information and referrals to individuals seeking housing services.

To improve the quality of life of low-income and disadvantaged individuals and families by advocating for their needs and rights; providing services; educating the community; building a community of support; participating in coalitions with other advocates and searching for new resources and partnerships.
